Explanation of Features:
Know who is on the phone before you answer.
Caller ID – telephone displays the name and number of who is calling before the call is answered.
Talk to your child and your husband at the same time.
Three Way Calling – conference call that allows the caller to add a second, outgoing, call to a call already connected at their number.
Never get a busy signal.
Call Waiting – If someone places a call to you and you are on the phone, you are able to put the call on hold and switch to the call that is waiting. Also lets you put a call on hold and make another call.
Transfer your phone to your home or office.
Call Forwarding – allows your cell phone to transfer incoming calls to another number of your choice.
Never Miss a Call with Voice Mail.
Voice Mail – Calls are sent to an answering machine when user is unavailable or has the phone turned off or is busy.
Know who is calling even when you are on another call.
Caller ID, Call Waiting – See who is calling you when you are already talking to someone. You are talking to your mother and the phone beeps that you have another call, you can see that it is your husband on the other line.
Know who is calling by the sound of the ring.
Ringtones – A tune is played so you know who is calling. Each entry in your phonebook can be assigned a different ringtone.
Dial one number instead of 10.
Speed Dialing – Numbers that you routinely call can be stored and dialed automatically-- the co-op, the feed store and the pharmacy.
Sending short notes via your cell phone.
SMS or text message – type a short message to send to someone’s phone (a maximum of 160 characters per message). A whole culture of “texting” has developed from this.
